Be a Judge at the CHS Awards - CHS Awards

Be a Judge at the CHS Awards

Submissions are now open to become a CHS Award Judge… Do you fancy the challenge?

The awards recognise elements of venues rather than the entire property in order to provide a level playing field for all entrants, irrespective of whether they are a national chain or a small independent venue. This has been proven popular and we are delighted by the support that the industry put behind this initiative.

‘The CHS Awards’ is now open for nominations with entries closing on Friday 14th August 2020.  Judging will take place from the comfort of your home through an online portal between Monday 31st August until Friday 18th September 2020 with the shortlist finalists will be announced Week Commencing 28th September 2020.

This year, the Award Ceremony and will be held at the After-show Party at CHS Birmingham on Tuesday 27th October 2020 at The ICC in Birmingham and judges are invited to attend as our guests so please save the date.

Frequently Asked Questions

We don’t think so. You will simply judge one category which we will allocate to you. Grab a cuppa (or glass of wine!), sit down and have a read through the submissions and supporting evidence electronically. From there you will mark each entry and submit a form with your appropriate scores based on a simple criteria, which will also be issued. Easy peasy!

Of course! You will be our guest at the awards ceremony. If you are shortlisted for this year only, you will get to attend for free!

Of course you can chat to fellow judges but please keep your scores and decisions under wraps until the winners are announced at the ceremony in October. The industry at large will know you are a judge as we’ll be sending you an email button to add to your signature.
