For the last 20 years I’ve been managing operations and delivering events across a range of sectors – from hotels and catering to travel and event production – for global brands like Marriott, Radisson, Microsoft, Iceland Foods, Co-op, Muller and National Trust.
As a Project Manager my ability to focus on the individual experience, co-ordinating all the parties involved, whilst crunching big numbers to bring it all together, makes me the perfect person to step in and provide total clarity on all kinds of event projects.
Working seamlessly within my client's businesses, I make sure operations are streamlined and events are delivered on time, on budget and to agreed timelines, as well as consulting on the trickier aspects of compliance.
Kate Hutchinson is the Managing Director of The Secret Event Service, a full service event agency. With over 350+ events under her belt, Kate is an experienced event professional who's managed everything from small scale to large scale. The Secret Event Service was born out of Kate's desire to provide events with strategic purpose and a memorable impact. The company works with a range of clients, from construction firms, to recruitment businesses and everything in between. With over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry and having worked for multiple well-known hotel groups in various roles, I recognised a need for independent advice in the venue sourcing market. In 2006 alongside my business partner we developed an all-encompassing service and online management system focusing on quality which creates a simpler, more informed booking process for clients, team members and our suppliers.
My position as Managing Director of Trinity is the fruition of my dream and the result of my drive to achieve success not just for myself but for my team. My background in hotel management has provided the perfect grounding, relationships and knowledge to achieve my business goals. In my spare time (when I have some), I enjoy cooking, travel, theatre, music and generally having a good time!
I'm a Zimbabwean-born-adopted Scouser that has been in the Events industry for over 10 years ! When I'm not working I can be found obsessing over new venues and champagne flutes (love a long stem), watching Youtube videos and connecting with new people at every opportunity.

I’ve worked in the MICE industry for 13 years in the UK and 2 years overseas in a wide range of roles including venue funding, event management and MICE business development. I believe I would bring a well rounded and experienced view in judging the awards again as I did in previous years

I launched Clearcut Venues in September 2017 after almost 20 years of experience in hotel and venue sales. Over these years I’ve built up an extensive network of contacts across the industry and wanted to benefit a wider outreach using this knowledge.
Clearcut office is based in Kent however my venue finding takes me to all corners of the UK and now into Europe.
My honest approach enables me to gain trust from my long-term repeat clients.
