Having studied the industry, I initially embarked on the world of events through catering. Having worked on the London 2012 Olympics, FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil and a number of other international events, I am now heading up a great team who produce over 80 events for our business ranging from small product launches to huge conferences - and also, growing our presence in the MICE and Group travel markets. I have a passion for service and always looking for new venues for our varied events around the UK.

So, a little about me! I am one of the co-founders of Focusing Events and I organise corporate and private events all across the globe. I have worked in events for over twenty years. I worked in the associations market for around ten years in London for an organisation called BCSC (now Revo) organising around 30 events a year ranging from awards to conferences, exhibitions to study tours both here and overseas. Since moving to Harrogate I have worked for a number of organisations and started Liz Theakston Events Ltd in April of this year to deliver events for a number of different clients including COPA Summit, Harrogate Mumbler and Tomorrow's Company.
